The University of Nottingham Ningbo China

In 2005, Nottingham became the first foreign university to establish and independently run a campus within mainland China.

The University of Nottingham Ningbo China now has over 5,000 students studying in the areas of:

  • International communications
  • International studies

Located at the Higher Education Park in Ningbo, an historic port city on China's eastern coast, the China Campus is modern and spacious.

Overlooking a central lake, the campus draws on architectural themes from University Park in Nottingham. It houses a range of academic, residential and support buildings including academic offices, a library, a fully equipped sports centre, restaurants and shops.

The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus

Opened in 2000, The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus was the first branch campus of an English university in Malaysia and one of the first anywhere in the world.

Now occupying its own site in Semenyih, 30km south of Kuala Lumpur city centre, the campus was designed to reflect University Park Campus in Nottingham.

It is a self-contained, self-sufficient student village, combining a high-quality living environment with state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities.

Teaching and research at the campus falls under three faculties:

  • Arts and Social Sciences
  • Engineering
  • Science
