School of Biology

The School of Biology is one of the leading schools of its kind in the UK, recognised internationally for world-class research and excellence in teaching. In the Research Exercise 2008:

  • 90 per cent of our research was considered to be of international standard or better
  • 50 per cent was judged to be internationally excellent or world-leading
