The School of Education at Nottingham is a leading centre for research in education, with a broad commitment to improving and investigating social justice and equality in education.
We encourage highly motivated, enthusiastic and talented students to apply for a postgraduate research place in the School. We provide a dynamic research environment where research students study alongside academic experts. Entry is very competitive and having a strong research proposal is therefore very important.
Our research programmes are made up of approximately 230 students from 40 different countries. Some students are studying and living here in the UK while other students are based in their own country with periodic visits to the UK to see their supervisor(s).
We greatly appreciate the contribution made by all of our research students in the life and work of the School. Whilst it is easy to become very focused on individual research, we strongly urge our students to take advantage of the expertise, activity and facilities that we have to offer.
