Small Animal Rehabilitation Certificate (PGCert)

Duration: 1 year full time, 2 years part time

The Small Animal Rehabilitation Therapy PGCert is open to all veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and physiotherapists who want to enhance their clinical skills, professional knowledge and critical appraisal abilities as part of their ongoing career development.

The course is designed to improve understanding of the scientific principles and clinical practice of the rehabilitation of the recovering veterinary patient in small animal practice. The course covers all aspects of hydrotherapy, aqua therapy, and land based rehabilitation in the small animal including the in-patient, the out-patient and the elite athlete.

The course is delivered by a combination of interactive eLearning and advanced practical residential courses, including intensive four and five-day placements. On the course you will be encouraged and supported in a positive, stimulating learning environment to develop your critical thinking and enhance your clinical competencies and reasoning. This is facilitated by appropriate exposure to clinical case load in state-of-the-art professional clinics, held at K9 Hydro Services and Dick White Referrals.

Postgraduate study is an essential investment in career progression and the pursuit of excellence in care delivery. We hope you will join us during this challenging and fulfilling stage of your career and we look forward to working with you to achieve your highest goals.
