Postgraduate Prospectus

This course has a start date in September 

The Postgraduate Certificate Sensory Science, led by Dr Joanne Hort, is aimed primarily at individuals working in the food or related industries and delivered in collaboration with Campden BRI . It has been designed to meet a need for structured Sensory Science training in the UK food industry.

The course will provide you with comprehensive training in a variety of areas related to sensory science, including sensory techniques, statistical analysis, psychology, physiology and perception, and consumer studies and market research.

All modules can be taken as stand alone training courses.

 

• This course is delivered in collaboration with Campden BRI
• The Sensory Science Centre at The University of Nottingham is well known for its research and training in sensory science. It offers state of the art facilities and the only formal qualification in sensory science in the UK
• The School of Biosciences is one of the largest and strongest schools of its kind in the UK
• It has consistently achieved high ratings in independent UK assessments of both research and teaching quality. The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise placed the School (in a joint submission with the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science) top in the UK in terms of 'research power' in agriculture, veterinary and food science. The School's teaching was graded 23/24 in the latest Teaching Quality Assessment
• The Sutton Bonington Campus is a self-contained, 16-hectare site in the beautiful countryside of south Nottinghamshire and it offers a number of dedicated facilities applicable to this course
