Positioning and Navigation Technology Masters (MSc)

Duration: 1 year full-time

This course is aimed at science and engineering graduates and industrial practitioners including: software and firmware developers; offshore navigators and data processing specialists; engineering project managers; civil engineering surveyors; remote sensing specialists; military land and airborne location and navigation specialists; and companies wishing to develop expertise based on a sound grounding in these fields.

Through an intensive practical and theoretical programme, we aim to develop your expertise and depth of understanding, and to formalise any practical experience in the areas of navigation on land, at sea or in the air.

Formal agreements have been signed with the Ministry of Defence (RAF General Duties Aero System course and Royal Navy Specialist "N" course students) and the Netherlands Defence Academy, granting entry to this MSc and exemption from some of the modules.

The course is also accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and we are an Approved Learning Provider for the HM Forces Enhanced Learning Credit Scheme, which applies to this course.

Entry requirements:2.1(Upper 2nd class hons degree or international equivalent)
Including:Studies in Physical Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science
Excluding:Non Numerate qualifications
Other requirements:Undergraduate degree with relevant mathematical elements. A -Level standard mathematics
IELTS:6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any element
TOEFL IBT:87 with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing
