Philosophical Theology Masters (MA)

Duration: 1 year full-time or 2-4 years part-time

This course has a start date in September  

The course will give you the opportunity to:

  • explore and understand the interaction between philosophy and theology
  • acquire the skills to engage in philosophical reflection within or upon religious traditions
  • acquire the skills required for study at research degree level (MPhil or PhD)

It is very suitable for RE teachers and Christian (or other) religious ministers who would like to upgrade or update their undergraduate studies.
It is also an ideal degree if you wish to pursue a one-year MA as preparation for a research degree (either MPhil or PhD), as suggested by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).

Entry requirements:2.1(Upper 2nd class hons degree or international equivalent)
Including:Degree subjects should be relevant to course applied for
IELTS:7.0 (no less than 6.0 in any element)
TOEFL IBT:100 with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing
