Environmental History Masters (MSc)

Duration: 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time

The School of Geography has established strengths in the field of Environmental
History, and this course integrates staff research interests in the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas with teaching and learning to provide a potential gateway to research degrees and a wide range of employment opportunities.

The purpose of the course is to foster an in-depth appreciation of the interaction between people and their environment in a historical perspective, as well as understanding the limitations placed on humankind by the natural environment.  Through this course, you will examine how people have treated and shaped their environment, and changed and developed their ideas about the natural world over time. 

If you have an interest in the concepts, issues and methods used in Environmental History, then this course is aimed at you.

Entry requirements:2.1(Upper 2nd class hons degree or international equivalent)
Including:Ecology, history, Env history, geography, Env Sci, Geology, Env management, forest history, landscape ecology
IELTS:6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element)
TOEFL IBT:87 with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing
