This course has a start date in September
The MSc Economics and Financial Economics is a high quality taught graduate course in economics which has ESRC recognition under its "1+3" awards system.
The course is specifically designed to train you in the use of analytic and quantitative methods in examining economic issues, and to provide research training of the level required to proceed to a PhD programme in Economics.
Building on the core Economic Theory module, the MSc Economics and Financial Economics provides specialist modules on Financial Economics and Financial Econometrics – both of these modules are quite technical. There is also the opportunity to select the modules in Decision-making under Risk and Uncertainty, Options and Futures Markets, and Behavioural Finance.
At the end of your studies, you will be equipped with core skills and techniques for analytical work on financial markets.
The content of this course is influenced by the research experience and activities of staff associated with the Centre for Finance and Credit Markets.
