Comparative Literature Masters (MA)

Duration: 1 year full-time

This course has a start date in October

The MA Comparative Literature offers students the opportunity to study, in comparative perspective, a range of national and regional literatures from around the world written in those European languages taught in the School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies. In offering literatures in Dutch, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Serbian/Croatian, and Spanish from Europe, America and Africa, this programme provides one of the most comprehensive comparative literature coverages in the UK. This MA allows students to study these literatures in the original language or in translation, as appropriate. It also allows students to put together an individual programme of comparative literature study, drawing on the broad expertise available in the school, to reflect their own research interests and research plans.
