Civil Engineering: Engineering Surveying Masters (MSc)

Duration: 1 year full-time

Civil engineering problems require the application of analytical, decision-making and critical thinking skills, this course will provide students with the technical knowledge needed to develop these skills.

This course allows for specialisation in the field of civil engineering surveying. An introduction into the broader civil engineering subjects will then be accompanied with a choice of specialised optional modules on your chosen theme.

Civil engineering surveying involves the conversion of data collected through methods like GPS, EDM and laser scanning into graphical representations which can be used for design and construction.

The course will concentrate on the technical knowledge and skills that are most relevant to the field of surveying for the award of MSc in Civil Engineering: Surveying.

Entry requirements:2.1(Upper 2nd class hons degree or international equivalent)
Including:Civil Engineering or closely related degrees.
Excluding:All Arts, Social Sciences, Sciences and most other Engineering subjects
Other requirements:Applicants need to have studied multiple courses in Structures, Geotechnics and Fluids International students whose first language is not English are required to have the following English language qualifications before they can register on an academic programme. However, applicants from certain countries may have these requirements waived subject to the University of Nottingham Policy for Waiving English Language Entry Requirements at: http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/quality-manual/recruitment-admissions/Policy-for-Waiving-English-Language-Requirements%20.doc
IELTS:6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element)
TOEFL IBT:87 with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing
