The transformation of novel science into successful business ventures (the development of new products and processes) is key to the long term profitability of the world's chemical and related industries (e.g. pharmaceutical and petrochemical industry). This goal requires scientists who possess a critical combination of technical and business skills. Increasingly, such individuals are playing a pivotal role in today's knowledge driven economy by enhancing existing businesses and by setting up new ventures themselves. Could you be one of these special people?

This course if very international with students from all walks of life and from various countries around the world. You will not only experience a purely academic training but will also be exposed to new ideas, approaches, and methods of working from other countries adding an extra dimension to your learning experience!

Because we aim to give you the best experience possible, our course is limited to 20 students. Will you be one of them?

• This course presents an exciting opportunity for you to learn about the latest developments in chemical science and to gain business skills and training at the same time.
• It is taught in collaboration between the School of Chemistry and Nottingham University Business School.
• The School of Chemistry was ranked second in the UK in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).
• Highlighted in the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE) Excellence Group for Masters and Doctoral degrees.
