This course has a start date in September
If you are intending to continue on to advanced research in Archaeology, leading to a PhD qualification once you have completed your Masters degree, then this course is the ideal second degree to provide you with the necessary skills and training.
By choosing this course, you will also be able to pursue the research model (1 year MA + 3 years research) suggested by the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
This course offers you the flexibility to tailor its content to reflect your personal interests and research topic.
Compared to other taught Masters courses in the Department, the dissertation forms the larger part of this course and can contribute to your subsequent PhD. Naturally, this course is particularly suitable if you wish to specialise in one of the areas of staff expertise.
