Advanced Dietetic Practice Certificate (PGCert)

Duration: 1-3 years part-time

This course has a start date in September

Continuing your professional development is not only a requirement for ongoing registration with the Health Professions Council but is increasingly recognised as important by government, professional bodies and the public sector. The University of Nottingham has been a recognised provider of the British Dietetic Association's Masters in Advanced Dietetic Practice programme since 2008 . This new postgraduate qualification has been designed to meet the BDA's requirements of both work based learning and research skills.

Practitioners who aspire to become increasingly competent professionals must develop the ability to evaluate current practice critically, both from the wider professional picture and their individual point of view.

This programme (also available as Masters, PGDip or as individual modules) offers a sound foundation for professional development on which to build your future success. It has been designed to suit your personal and professional situation, whether that is a single module, a postgraduate certificate, diploma or the complete masters programme.

Please note: this is not a PG pre-registration course for individuals with a first degree now wanting to train as a dietitian, but rather a PG post-registration programme suitable as Continuing Professional Development for dietitians and other healthcare professionals.

Entry requirements:Candidates will be required to be a Registered dietitian with the Health Professions Council, with 2:2 Honours degree or above.
IELTS:6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any element
