Before you apply, it is important that you have looked into and are happy with the postgraduate course or research programme that you wish to apply for. You must also ensure that you are aware of:
- the duration of the course
- the entry requirements
- the fee
- what the course entails
Online application procedure
You can now apply to The University of Nottingham online at:

The online postgraduate application system enables you to fill out a standard application form online and submit this to the University immediately. You can also attach supporting documents, including certificates and a transcript of your previous studies.
The online procedure has a number of benefits:
- your application is not delayed or lost in the post
- you receive an automatic acknowledgement of receipt
- you can view the progress of your application by using the online tracking system
- you can access extra information about Nottingham and the University
The University charges an application fee for the majority of its taught masters courses, but not for research degrees.
